The Laramie Enduro date has been announced. I will be trekking up to Wyoming for the 28July start date. Two years ago I did a tour of Nebraska trails on the way there. It was ahellova trip. Wasn't in good enough shape to do it last year, but am hoping I will get enough saddle time this year to play in the same sand box as these guys.
The race is 111km through some of the toughest and most amazing terrain I have ever seen. Met some interesting people, had some enduro induced hallucenations, got lost at one point, and almost quit a couple times, even saw a bear the night before. It is a great test of stubborn bullheadedness.

Checked out the website, looks like fun! If you like that kind of "fun" you should check out the Dirty Kanza 200, which is a race or the Flinthills death ride. Both take place about 2-1/2 hours from here and make big loops through the flint hills of Kansas. Mostly rock/gravel roads but they are definitely not flat!
Rode this afternoon, lots of fun, slippen and sliden and pushen!
I might be into that. Lets talk more about this.

hey,
how are the trails looking for the landahl race next weekend on sunday?
I don't wana travel 3 hours to try and race a lap in mud and snow...
I'll make the trip if it's dry trails and no snow to increese the ods of slipping and sliding and falling down on those rocks...
season is right around the corner dude...
There are a couple guys in town that are planning on racing at Landahl. I won't be, it is my daughter's birthday and I haven't been riding much due to work lately.
Right now there are a couple inches of ice and snow on the ground, but there is supposed to be 40, 50, and 60 degree temperatures next week - so there is a chance the course will be in good condition. Those Landahl races go off in any conditions.
My plan is to start riding seriously in March again - Assuming work cools off a little bit. I think it will.
