I keep getting complemented my my Knickers! RaceFace for those that care...
It was a pretty neat venue, not far away. I tell you it would be nice to hit up that race earlier in the year when the weather is nice. It is a very spectator friendly venue.
I managed a 4th in the Singlespeed and the Hippy DNF’d…. Unlucky SOB snapped his chain on the last lap of his race while sitting in 3rd… Bummer dude, your still my hero anyway…
Hippy, gettin it!
Some dude that looks like someone we know in a Shores Jearsy...
Put your numer on right side up for crying out loud!!!
Spencer made it on down and hit up Masters and Singlspeed in his trademark cool jerseys and mustache bars… As the season closes, looking back, I could have done some things better, and things could have been a lot worse. I did notice that my endurance and cardio went down when I got lazy and quit racing two races. Won’t do that again next year, this is training for MTB. Right? Well, I don’t know if it was I got lazy as much as sniffing the podium a couple of times by one spot and thought I would focus on one race instead of surviving in two.
Didn’t work, 4th was the magic number for me most of the time… Close, but not close enough… So it goes…
With all this damn snow, has brought the training indoors which pretty much sucks a big one… I absolutely hate it… After doing some intervals yesterday I realized just to the extent of what a mamby pamby I am when I can’t stand up and crank… Got some work to do this offseason…
Tentative plan is strength training in Jan, dropping weight a little and get miles in Feb, picking up some intensity in March and getting back in race shape in April/May… 2011 hopefully is going to be a stellar year.. I hope all of you stay motivated these next couple months! I know I am going to need all the encouragement/ ass kicking’s I can get come middle February!
Peace….
