Good Trails

So the camera on this phone sucks. I can never get a good picture - not that this one was going to be much to look at anyway, but they are all blurry all the time. Need to figure out how to hold still.

Trails are in decent shape. Some trees continue to fall, but it looks like folks have been pulling branches off to the side when they do. I came tearing around a corner on a super quick cheater ride before dark last night and just about nailed a downed tree just down trail of the first clearing at Corby South. Nearly scared a turd out of me. Stopped and pulled it off the trail, must have been hollow, cause it wasn't very heavy for how big it was.

Should be a good night tonight. Might try to make it out for a little while - hope to see some folks there????

Sorry I missed you last night. I missed Jason also. Talked to Brad and his daughter as they were heading out.

So who is racing this weekend??
I heard Randy is working, Brad and his daughter are going, and I tried to shame Jason into racing. I plan on being there if I can get out of working all day. Lansen? Rusty?

After running the Parkway trails and Sun Bridge over the past three days I've noticed there's alot of work needed. Tree's down, encroaching growth that needs trimmed back, etc. If we don't get on these trails they're going to be badly overgrown very soon.

I'm planning on spending a day this week, probably Tue or Wed doing trailwork for the better part of a day.

If anyone has time off and wants to join in great. Let me know and I'll provide either a trimmer or loppers.

Lansen, is there a race down there this weekend? If there is can you post the link? Some of us were going to come down.

I, for one, am glad some of the trails were cut so narrow in the beginning. Some were just cut way to wide. The narrow ones now, that are overgrown, give a sense of 'closeness'. Almost like a hug from Ma Nature. I say let em grow. Who has time for that hot and sweaty trailwork anyway? Apparrently not too many people.

I agree with the hippie. Tight trails add to the excitement. Not to knock all of the great work that has been done on the trails. Thanks for taking such good care of all of the trails.

Narrow trails are great until the friggin spiders set up shop. Come ride the narrow trails and eat 200-300 spiders (I'm NOT kidding) then we'll see who's a hippie trail lover. Wide trails are better for everyone, except of course the spiders.
