Tree Down!

Hey all! I noticed tonight that there is a tree down on Corby north. Its down just before the bridge if you are heading south. Corby south , GSC and the brownie are all clear with a few greasy spots but it is all 100% ridable! Two people can definitely move the downed tree , but there is some weed wacking and trimming that needs to be done. Can we set aside a day for all of us to set our bikes aside and knock it all out? Everyone leave some comments so we can get an idea of when we can all get together!

Corby is clear. Brownie Trail is clear. GSC is clear except for one huge tree that will require one or two chainsaws.

I was going to take a picture of it, but I figured we all know what a down tree looks like.

Have a great weekend.

Yeah I tried to join the break neck club on Saturday on the Corby North trail. The trail was dry and fast, too fast for me it turns out. I was riding opposite way of the race and was just about to the end, came over a small hill and something wrapped into my front tire (later found to be a small sapling). I went flying over the handlebars and heard two sets of pops. The first was my helmet breaking, the second was a series of 10-12 pops from my cervical spine to the mid thoracic area. I thought I was OK until my friend who was riding with me ran over me from behind. Xrays turned out to be fine, but I still can't turn me head and I've had some funny hallucinations - I think I might have a subdural hematoma - only time will tell (that and a CT) Anyway I'm in Seattle for a conference - come back today. Hope to get back on that trail as soon as possible - show it who's boss...

Working this weekend. Good luck racing. Be safe - unless you want to be in the broken neck club and/or if you like hallucinations...

The Broken Neck Club is not really that much fun even though you get some really good drugs.

Yeah they just gave me some ibuprofen. The best part was I was wearing my new forerunner GPS watch and I graphed the wreck when I got home. I went from 18 mph to 0 very quickly although I think I sped up a bit when I was airborne.

I was just wondering if any one was going to be cleaning up at KRUG in the near future it is a mess. I rode the trails at Corby and the trail north of Lovers lane they are both in good shape while krug gave me a feeling of the old car in the fence row she still runs just needs a little fuel. I would like to help in the clean up. It is going to take several man hours and lots of strong backs and weak minds. Please lets not forget where we came from and bring her back. Just comment through the Blog to let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks
