Bone Bender

This is off their site:

“We have received a lot of emails regarding current course conditions for this weekends Bone Bender 3/6 Hour MTB Odyssey. Currently the trails at Smithville Lake are closed due to recent snow fall and rains. We are watching the weather closely and hoping that any more rain stays away giving the trails time enough to dry for Saturday's event. In the event that we have to postpone the event to April 18th, 2009, we will make that final call by this Wednesday.”

Given the amount of moisture and the forcast for the next few days, it is unlikely we will be racing. I will be really bummed. I have been carbo loading for the last month and planned to start training on Thursday or Friday. I guess it's more carbs and more dreams of riding!

I hear pizza hut pan pizza is great for carb loading, but you have to eat it for lunch and dinner.. And wash it down with some bud heavy... That should do the trick.. Seems to work for Lansen.

If you are going to be serious about your training, you need to take it up a notch or two!
Flying Dog Double Dog Pale Ale 10.5% 292 clories 15.0g carbs.

I thought dropping down from Mich Ultra to MGD 64 would be enough training for a 6 hr ride! That flying dog might put me to sleep, Permanantly!
