Howsabout a few of us get together for about 2-3 hours early saturday morning and do some weedeating at krug? That will "stimulate some thoughtful discussion" for you. Really, Sat morning at the top o Krug for 2 hours or so. Whaddya say? The trail hippie
Crook and I hit it this am for 3 hours. A horsefly lit on my shoulder and it was so freakin big I thought someone has lost a parrot! I said " Polly want a cracker?" and it ask if we had any loppers cause it wanted to help. I swatted it's ass right after it bit me. It was a hot motherscratcher out there. I'm glad I had my insulated pants on. The dehydrated hippie
You guys have done a great job on Krug. I rode most of the new stuff Sunday morning, it looks like it will be fun, but where did you find the rocks?? Also next time, kill ALL the stinkin spiders!!
Jason, When you actually show up for weedeating in 2009, it is helping Randy & Craig that are clearly doing all of the work. I apologize I can not give you a number how many times I have helped out, I am not keeping track. It's called trail weedeating day. Wait silence......... Weedeating days usually fall on a Saturday or Sunday in the AM. No wait, you are usually riding on those days or at the lake. Please tell me more how well you are riding this year? Between working your job, 3 hrs per wk & riding most of the wk, WOW, life is good for you. I'm jealous. I realize a few wks ago your wife didn't allow you to speak to my wife and I at Famous Daves for more than 3 minutes, but what days does she allow to ride? Anyway, Randy volunteered to take you to Lowe or Home Depot, to show you what a weedeater looks like.
Leave town for a few days and look what I come back to!!! I can't resist jumping into this stuff so here goes. For everyone out who thinks it's just Randy and myself who are doing all the trail work, well, you are just plain wrong. You all can thank the Crookster, Brian S, Brad Bob and I'm sure several others that I have missed. Speaking of David C, I happen to know he is personally responsible for approximately half of Corby South and a good chunk of the GSC not to mention all of the hours he has put in at Krug both this summer and last winter. David is always willing to help out whenever he can and I for one really appreciate it (and everyone else who helps out) I know there are folks out there that are hyper sensitive to poison ivy (I can attest to that first hand here lately) and such and I can definately understand them laying off during the summer months but at least we can rely on them to help out during the off season. What really bothers me is seeing everyone riding and taking advantage of all the hard work done by a few yet still will just not take it upon themselves to chip in. Hell, some of you guys can't even be shamed into it! Well, I guess we will always have the guys who give a sh't and the guys who just plain don't. Pretty lame but that's just the way it is. Anyway, big thanks to Randy and David for the weedeating done this weekend. I for one really do appreciate it. If you are benefiting (either financially or recreationally) from having great, well maintained trails in the area all I can say is PLEASE do your part and pitch in. CH
