Sunday Racing

Well, I sucked hind tit. Lined up at the front like I had business being there - held on for the first lap, then ate ass for the rest of the race. That's it, it's nothing but hard riding for me until I'm back in shape.

Here's a picture of me trying not to puke up a lung. I haven't felt like that for a long time. I don't think I came in last, but it had to be close in the ss class.

Oh well - aside from the butt performance on my part, the day of racing was great. The Swanson trails were in great shape and were wide, fast, flowy, and relatively smooth.

I think Jason enjoyed himself too, even though he completely destroyed his bike.... Sorry dude, hopefully that der. hanger replaces easily with no other broken parts.

Saw lots of old friends, some new ones, and got passed by a bunch of folks I've never met. If that's not enough motivation, I don't know what is.

Lots of people are looking forward to the STJ race. I think we better consider incorporating both sides of Corby. Both the experts and the sports are really fast this year. Guaranteed, south side will not be enough for them alone.

I agree with L-Dogg, we should incorporate both N. & S.

Ride this eve? Hummmm? If its not raining that is..

Don't be so hard on yourself. Racing is supposed to be fun (unless you race expert). Hopefully we'll be down this weekend to ride the trails.

Scott Stevens is planning on cruising up from KC. It would be cool to get a big group rolling through the trails on Sat.

Lets shoot to start at 9AM?.?.?.

Anybody from the STJ local contingent up for some tour guiding?

I'm not sure if we'll be down Sat or Sun or maybe both. My gf works Saturday so if she want's to go it might not be until Sunday. If not I can try to round up some guys to go down early Saturday morning.

That's great...sounds like you guys had a good time, aside from the pain & suffering and the destroyed derailler hanger.

I'm up for some riding tonight...will be at Corby around
6:30ish. Also will plan to ride Saturday morning with whoever shows up.

So you say 6:30... Does that really mean 3:30???

Better not ditch me or I will hunt you down. I wont be able to catch you on my bike, so I will have to wait for you by your car... But I'll be there.

Nope...it'll be closer to 6:30. Can't skip out of work early today.

You guys mind if a Columbian catches a ride this weekend? I'll be in town with the MTB Saturday through Tuesday and am looking to check out the race course.

Hey Oz! Long time no see. Sounds like we'll be riding with some Omaha, KC, and STJ contingent on Sat AM at 9. Lets throw the Columbian blend into the mix. Hopefully everybody makes it.

Might have to also throw in some Colombian (South American that is) into the blend as well... I'll have to work hard rest of the week to make Sat. morning.
