jerseys, race team, I need your size

This is a e-mail from JP Shores about the race team and jerseys. Speak now or forever hold you peace. I have the following people down for these size jerseys, let me know soon if I haven't included/excluded you or got your size wrong.

Craig L
Larry XL
Randy XXL
Mike Ratcliff XL
Nick XL
Greg M
Shawn M
Derick Boos?
Emma Boos?
Kyle Boos?
Dave Crook?
Brad Bob?
Dr. Adam?

Any one else?

Shawn,

Could you please e-mail me names and sizes for the jerseys. I will probably order some extra size large and a couple xl in case we get some additional riders to join as the season gets closer. The cost of the jerseys will be $35.00 for the first jersey, if anyone wants a second jersey it will be reg. cost of $45.00.

Bib shorts and regular shorts are also available. I will need to check on the cost of those items? We are saving some of the money for entry fee's to some select local races in the area for 2009. I would say that the first 3/6 hr. race in Smithville would be a team race and anyone who can race, there entry or any two person team for the 3/6 hr. race will be covered as long as they are on the team. Requirements are to purchase a jersey.

I would like to get all of this together and place the final order by the end of the week. The products will be her within 8 weeks of the final order. If you want to collect the checks and then just write me one check that is fine, we will just need a list of names and sizes to place the order.

Thanks!

JP

This costs so please don't stiff us if you say you want a jersey. Paying for that one 3/6 race is the jersey's cost alone. Please let me know soon!!!!!

You all are welcome, the shorts are $42.00 (normally $52.00), for your first pair and bib shorts are $50.00 (normally $60.00) for your first pair. I am ordering from Champion-systems. We are ordering the Club fit, which is your american sizing jersey. I really look forward to catching up with you all soon in St. Joe. My wife is due any day now with our second child, so it has been a bit crazy! Please finalize this order, write a check to Shawn and we can order the kits early next week. I will give you all an updated roster by mid-february and maybe we can plan a ride / meeting in late Feb. early March! Thanks for joining the team, this is about fun and getting others involved!! See ya on the road or trail! JP

Shawn,
I thought our agreement with the contribution from Seaman and Schuske ($400.00) was to cover the cost of the first 10 jerseys.
Did you just take it upon yourself to change this? My intent was to save the guys from having to pay for their first jersey.

Craig I left the details to JP to get the jerseys done since he approached me and was already started on them before Dec. If you don't like the way the cost of the jerseys are, I'm sure JP will do whatever you want, he is really cool. You have been extra nice to contribute the amount you have to the jerseys. Just talk to JP, because he is the one working with the jersey company.

There are some new additions and corrections to the sizes.

Dr. Adam XL
Greg is feeling fat so a L
Ian S
Kelly M
Savanna XS

Shawn,
Just thought you and JP were working on this together. I made the assumption that your shop, JP's company, Seaman and Schuske and possibly several more companies were sponsoring the team and that hopefully would at least cover the initial cost of the jersies and several races.
I do see that the team has grown to a significantly larger number than I had anticipated and obviously that leads to a greater expense.
I personally do not have a problem with the costs myself and I understand that by holding back funds to cover race entries it may motivate the team members to actually get out and race.

To all,
After speaking with Shawn tonight and reading the blog comments, it is great that the team is growing. It has been my hope that this first year we are able to give a discount for a jersey and a pair of shorts/bibs if that is possible. I am actually blown away by the response and greatfull for the numbers. Even if we put the entire amount donated by the sponsors into the jersey's it would not cover the cost for everyone. There has to be a point where we are able to give a discount and then add some motivation to race. (the latter should not be a problem) I felt that allocating some funds toward a couple of races during the year would help cover the cost of the jersey's and then some? I have no problem re-allocating funds toward the jersey's as a whole and cutting the cost some more, but that would leave the balance at Zero, then we are just a bunch of riders with jersey's. Even with allocating all the funds toward clothing, we would still owe something for the jerseys. That is fine, but I want to race, that is why I started the team. The amount of local advertising dollars that the sponsors will get and the placement of the logo's will exceed any other adversting that you will spend for $400.00 in any other avenue in St. Joe. Maybe by next year, we put some more structure together for the team, a board etc.?? But, i just left a team that got really big and lost focus and that is doing some racing and bringing people to the sport. It sounds like we are on the right track for this team to make an impact in the community and to, yes add people to the roster to help get out and maintain the trails. Thanks for the input and the opportunity to race with you all in 2009!
I appreciate all sponsors! And I am happy to talk to anyone who has any questions concerning the team. I can be reached at jpsatc@yahoo.com or by cellphone:
913-378-8591
Any other suggestions on races that we do as a team for 2009, would be great, I thought the BoneBender 3/6 would be close for everyone to start of with our 2009 season?

Thanks!

JP

Last comment, by the way Seaman and Schuske did an awesome job on my parents new house! The wall looks great! Anyone looking for a nice home on an acre plus in st. joe, my parents have put there old house up for sale. 3406 Craig Ln.
64506
They have a sign in the yard and it is for sale by owner, so I am sure they would deal a bit. Not a great time to be selling a house. But, hey you cannot quit living!

Later,

JP

JP,
Please disregard my first comment in this post. I commented before I had all the facts and for that I appologize (and to you Shawn)
I realize that you have put a considerable effort into this endeavor and several of us know how difficult it can be as we have put together smaller grass roots teams in the past.
Please don't feel like you should have to change anything on my account.
Also, just to make sure Seaman and Schuske is not taking credit where it is not due, we do commercial, industrial and architectural sheet metal projects so although I'd love to take credit for your parents walls... don't think I can.

OK so I lied,I have one more comment tonight, at the moment we have 26 members accounted for the team. 26 jersey's. Thanks for the excitement and looking forward to organizing a team meeting once the jersey's arrive late Feb. early March. Still time to recruit, Sunday night is the deadline!

later,

JP

OK, maybe you did something else for there house? Thanks for your kind comments! It takes a lot to bend me out of shape and I am cool with any questions or concerns from team members or from sponsors. Life is about accountability and working together!

The logo for Seaman and Schuske looks really cool on the back of the jersey! I will post a photo of the team jersey once I figure out how to do it? Blogging is new to me!

This will be fun!

I see that you correctly figured my fat ass as an XL. Thanks for all the work you're putting in to this. I really do plan to do more "work" myself other than building obstacles that serve littel purpose. Just say when and you'll have the money.

Will Randy list his sponsor, RANDYSBANGBUS on the jerseys? Or will he go with his other sponsor, MAGNUMS?
