Has Anybody Tried This One?

Has anybody gone cross-country, starting from the backside of the old water plant, up through that old quarry, across Sun Bridge, and into the backside of Camp Geiger before?

A couple of guys in the Bike Club did that a month or two ago and said it was a pretty nice ride - all up hill- and pretty rough. At Geiger they came out right behind their new shooting range. Supposedly 7 miles roundtrip.

The other story I heard is that you have to go through this trailer park down on the river and the owner is rough on trespassers. Of course, if you're jdoug he's going by so fast nobody would catch him. Me puffing along would warn him I was coming ten minutes before I got there.

Anyway, has anybody tried this route before? Sounds like it would be worth trying.

Years ago that was about the only place to rideout side of a couple small loops at Krug. Most if not all is private land. Not sure but they used to discourage riding in the quarry and the land between there and Sunbridge. It can be really brutal riding but it is really fun. Ask the Hippy guy about it.

It's a great place to explore but is all posted no trespassing. If I was 25 again and had nobody depending on me I'd do it in a second. The consequences aren't worth it now though. Everything south of where we go down to the middle trail past the old cemetary at Sunbridge is all off limits to quads and motorcycles, but is open to us. There are potential trails to be made there but they are gonna take some thought and planning. If you are askin me, let's all keep to the south of the cemetary and keep it safe and sane. The hippie

Thinkin about trail riding on sun... Any one been out in the snow yet?

The snow wasn't to good yesterday. The freeze thaw made for some pretty tough going. I rode north and about 1/2 of GSC. Had to stop numerous times to remove down limbs. So basically it was a pretty brutal but short work out!
So I guess the conditions today will be worse. I think I will go out again today anyway. ANYTHING beats riding a trainer!!

Used to ride that area all the time. Isn't the rock quarry owned by the scouts now? Would be a nice collaborative if we could trail-blaze for them for some super sweet rocky riding. Not sure what that trailer park is. It's definitely creepy. BTW, i know where the flooded mines are (near sunbridge) - you need a boat, but they are cool.

It would be nice to have some rocks to ride.. Whenever I get to Landahl my a$$ puckers up.. They intimidate me a little sice we never ride them...
