Weedeatin comin up

The race is in less than 2 weeks out. The weeds are growing like, well, weeds. Holy crap! Corby north is almost already grown shut and krug is gaining. Is anyone up for some noxious vegetation extermination...weedeating for you simple folk...this weekend if it's not raining too hard? We have to be done in 10 days and it's supposed to rain most of those. I know being there while your greatgreat aunt 4 times removed has a hairy mole burned off her tongue SEEMS like the right thing to do, but getting the course spiffed up in an expedient timeframe may take precedence. Post or call if you can help. Thanx, the trail hippie

Are you going to be up there on Saturday? Going to the Air show on Sunday. If I don't make it, let me know where you leave off, I will be available some next week.
Do we have and "extra" heavy duty wacker?

No, not Corby, we are weedeating at Krug to get it ready for the race.
Meeting at the top parking lot near the trails.

So, Trail Hippie, whats left to be done? Post up a wish list of needs so I/we can help out!

Jim,
The biggest priority right now would be the drainage of the wet spots if it's dry enough to do anything with them yet. Friday will be installing danger signs at blind corners, drops and bridges, directional signs and taping where necessary to avoid cutting the course, etc.
We are planning to get the trail blown tonight.
Thanks for your help and everyone else who helped with the weed eating this weekend... That was a huge job... hopefully the rest will be easier.

CH.. you may not know this but there is a box of fence posts, the push in the ground with your foot type that were donated... they should be at the "bike store" and would make great trail head markers etc.
wasn't aware that you wanted to blow tonight but i am at house, RT knows where i live and would be willing as always to lend a hoof.
and as one who rides the trails, a thanks to those who work on the trails!

Thanks for the info on the posts Derek... I'm sure we could use them.
If the rain misses us tonight, Krug will be perfect riding tomorrow!!! Nothing like freshly weedeated and blown trails to ride on!
