The Pain

Well I've either got tired legs or I'm weak and lame. Rusty kicked my ass all over Krug park for a lap last night before I gave up and went home. Good job Rusty.

I think I'll be taking the rest of the week off before the race on Saturday. Hope to see some of you there. So far its Jim, Rusty, and me heading up to Trenton. I'm looking forward to drinking some of that free Rolling Rock after the race. Oh yeah, riding will be fun too.

You are just tired...riding 5 days in a row will do that. You need rest...

I bet you will feel great at the race Saturday after all the training you've done and then getting rested up for a couple days. Make sure to be hydrating; sounds like it will be a hot one...

I'm with Rusty... and strongly recommend that you sit back and rest from now till Saturday.

According to my Bro-in-Law who is a Proffesional Trainer out of St. Louis area, you won't gain anything by riding the last few days before a big race... if anything you could end up beating yourself down or getting hurt.

Good luck in the race. If I wasn't racing elsewhere on Sunday, I'd go give this one a try with you on Saturday.

Hey, Tim. If you are interested, there is a race in Council Bluffs on July 7 at Lake Manawa. It is a totally different kind of riding than what we have here. The trails are very flat, very technical, and super twisty. It is a lot of fun, and the Omaha folks that built them are an impressive bunch to watch ride.

Good luck on your race too, where is it?

hmm, I might be if I am in town. Always looking to get my ass kicked in new venues and in new sports. This weekend my ass will be getting kicked in DesMoines @ the HyVee Triathlon.
