Beautiful weather!

Yes, according to The Weather Channel, tonight will entail "snow flurries and snow showers early with a chance of lingering snow showers later."

I will be riding the MWSU trails and ya'll welcome! Meet at the front entrance to Exercise Building at say 7 PM.

You'll definitely want to budle up as the low temp will be 12 degrees with winds from NNW at 20 to 30 mph. Ahhh... the holiday season has officially begun!

I didn't make it. Started fighting some kind of cold today and don't want to make it worse. Good job staying tough - I'm in for the next crappy weather ride.

So, did you ride? It was pretty crappy out.

You bet. It was fun to ride those studded tires on the woodchip... more like frozenchip... trails at MWSU. When I first put on those tires I was surprised at how heavy and thick the rubber was on them. But then after one lap out there and multiple spots where the tires busted through the ice and sounded like the ice was going to tear right through the tires, I was thankful for all the weight & reinforcement.
I'm glad I took my mountaineering face mask as the ride back home/north was pretty brutal with the head wind. My wife just shook her head at me when I showed her my toes (totally pale/white & numb)... I won't be riding out in those conditions until I get some good winter boots... cause Windstopper booties, one thin pair of wool socks & foot warmers inside my summer vented shoes just doesn't cut it! Although I'm sure the toe warmers probably kept my toes from getting frostbite! ;0)

Try Sandwich Baggies on the outside of your socks. Keeps the wind and water off your feet. If you really need some warmth, use a news paper bag and run it up your leg a little further.
